Create Geodatabase Version in ArcGIS and ArcMap

To create a Geodatabsae Version we open ArcCatalog window from ArcMap and then go to our Enterprise Geodatabase Connection and right click on it and then choose as follows:

Administration --> Administer Geodatabase

As shown in the following image:

We will get the following window (Geodatabase Administration):

Then we choose the parent version for our new version, the version from which we will take a copy as follows:

Right click on parent version -->  New Version

We will get the following window:

We fill the data according to the following brief explanation:

• Name: The name of our new Version.
• Description: general notes about the version.
• Access: The access level of the version.
